<itunes:summary>OK, this is not really new. It’s an outtake from my Rough Skeleton album from 2004. But it’s never been released from its captivity in my computer before. So, in that sense, it’s new. This song was intended to be a “credo” kind of song, in that it is sort of a credo of mine that everyone is an artist of some sort. Some of us just don’t know how to express ourselves. The trick is to make something. It doesn’t really matter what. The art is in the making. You don’t have to show it to anyone if you don’t want to. You just have to make something. It’s healthy to get whatever’s inside of you out into the fresh air.My wife made the photo. She’s a pretty groovy artist too. She just doesn’t know it.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>I swear I’ll put something new up here soon. In the meantime, here’s another stroll down memory lane. The first album I ever sent out for review, Itchy Scalp Theater, was led off by this jaunty little number. It’s a four-tracker. Done in my little attic studio in Little Rock AR. I took the title from a little pink packet of artificial sweetener that was in my line of sight when I wrote these completely nonsensical lyrics. But I’ve thought since then that it was a pretty accurate descriptor of the sound of the song. I like the bassline, particularly in light of the fact that my bass at the time only had 3 strings on it. That’s just how cheap I was back then. It’s from 1995.New stuff soon, coming soon.seriously dude...JTB</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>This is another ambient piece. I recorded the sounds I heard on a sleepy downtown afternoon bike ride. The atmospheric sounds, birds and snatches of conversation are from various places in downtown Knoxville TN, my hometown. Just slightly bigger than Mayberry. Very nice actually.I found the photo above on the web. It’s from Bali, apparently. </itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>I lived in Memphis for 5 years in the early 90’s. I had a band there called the Martini Age. Local Knoxville musician, recordist, physician and friend Jim Rivers began our long musical collaboration in that band. This is a song from our aborted second album Guitarsmack. It was written as Louisiana was being pounded by Hurricane Andrew. At that time it was one of the most damaging natural disasters in American history. Those were the daysAlso Dean Siewert on bass & Todd Nichoalds on drums</itunes:summary>
