<itunes:summary>Wow! Spring has come up and hit us hard here in the Pacific Northwest. Temperatures were in the low 70’s yesterday and everything it seems is growing inches by the day. Our Garden is filling out and I am beginning to let go for the year. We have so many plants stuffed into our little border I lose track of what’s there. At a certain point I just wait and see what comes up and begin the ruthless discipline that all the little ground covers, perennials and weeds need. Our fence line in back has an army four feet wide of Morning Glory coming up from the neighbors. It is a steep slope so digging is risky and the soil is so heavy the Morning Glory runners are feet down and break with the slightest pull. Right now it looks like a Vinca carpet just getting started. Yikes!I was telling a friend about this Blog the other day. My general report was as follows; I am making great progress managing the gardens. Our border garden, our vegetable garden and our native slope are all doing great with lots of progress. I am managing being a parent, whatever that means, I love our baby and play with her whenever possible. I have fairly strict boundaries with work and responsibilities since lots of my work time is at home and there are endless tasks around the house that need attention. That said, I have been managing both the subjects of this blog but the Blog itself, well it’s not first priority! I fully intend on continuing it please just have patience with me on it...Oh, oh, oh my Baby...Little Lila Belle is just amazing. She is 11 and a half months old. She loves being outside on the lawn, on the gravel or on the wood chip walkways. She loves Dandelions, pulling the flowers off and clenching them in her little fists and crawling all over. She has a nice little rock collection in our house of rocks she has held onto without us noticing and brought inside. She has a lot to say. Always chatting about something, chanting with the leaves, squawking at the cat, pointing at the trees with her highest and softest fairy speak, kind of a, “heeaayyy”.We put up a swing in out carport that Lila enjoys. We can sit down and look at the garden while she swings. Her baby buddies have been enjoying our garden as well and the swing definitely helps for the baby mob.</itunes:summary>
