We all have our own way of expressing ourselves. There are times when I just need to express myself through the keyboard.IN THE BACKGROUNDI like to blog while the kids are playing outside. On a nice sunny day, the windows are open and you can hear the wind and birds mixed with the sound of the kids’ laughter. Then some screams “Mo-om” and I’m back to reality.Me Everywhere Else Texas HomemakerMy SpaceReal Live Friends (Yes, I have a few.) SarahKariGlennaSherriWendyRuthHeather

I haven’t blogged since Inauguration Day. Wow. Here’s an update to my life since then. We had family photos done. You’ll see those on my homepage. I became addicted to Facebook and now I stalk all my family and friends. :)Haley has decided to give public school a try next year. We’ll see how it goes. She’ll be in 8th grade. She qualified for all AP classes, but I won’t be putting her in them all. That’s too much stress. Registration is in August.Dalton doesn’t want to go back to public school until after he moves from cub scouts to boy scouts because cub scouts meets during the school day and those are his best friends. I can’t wait for our family reunion this year. I say that every year. I start looking forward to the next one the day we leave every year. I love Ray’s family. They are awesome!!I discovered this week that Dalton has inherited a wonderful trait that I greatly admire in his father. Work ethic. If something needs done, he doesn’t wait for help or his dad to get home, he does it. I am extremely proud.Shaun and the kids are here at least once a month. It’s been great to see them regularly. Haley and Dalton really enjoy it, too. It’s a madhouse with 6 kids in one small house, but they are so worth it.We are already really enjoying our summer. We’ve been hanging out at a friend’s pool. We went to “the lake” last weekend and saw lots of family. This week we went to the river with friends. I have lost a few inches, but the scales aren’t reading pounds yet. I’ll keep working out and eating right. I need the muscle as much as the weight loss. :) My arms were so weak before. I’m so thankful to my neighbor who enticed me to start working out. Ray and I will be married 15 years this fall. I can hardly believe how time flies. This is also the year of our 15 year class reunion. I am excited to see everyone again. Facebook has been great for catching up.We finish up “school” next week because we were behind. The kids will continue to do light math and reading over the summer so they keep their skills up. That’s it for now. Maybe I’ll keep this thing more updated, for both my loyal readers. :)

Okay, I don’t post much anymore, but on this auspicious and historic occasion, I couldn’t pass it up. I don’t have much to say, but here it is....I didn’t vote for the man, I may not agree with the man, but he is now “the man”. If you don’t have something nice to say, keep your mouth shut and pray because it is not an easy task that lies ahead. God is sovereign.

As I write this there is actually snow on the ground outside. It started snowing around midnight last night. Hubby and I were had a late night out Christmas shopping and came out of the only store open at that hour just in time. The kids didn’t need much convincing to get up and bundle up to go outside to enjoy it. The flakes were the largest we’ve seen here in Texas. Hard to believe it was 80 degrees outside yesterday! December is turning out rather nicely. We are taking a our annual Christmas break from school to enjoy the season. Every day the kids pull a chocolate from the advent calendar. We’ve trimmed the tree and hung the stockings. I’m not baking yet because my oven is out. (That should be fixed soon.) Shopping has been done slowly and with relish because I don’t really buy much and so I’m spacing it all out. I should be done by Sunday. All the Christmas festivities really get started this weekend and I’m really looking forward to it. To top it all off, I am sitting right now where I sat last night. In my big comfy oversized chair next to the Christmas tree, close enough to smell the evergreen (No candle can replicate that!) with snow outside my window. Lovely. The only way it could be better is to add a cup of something warm and steamy. The is what I relish about December. I hope you are relaxing enough to enjoy the season!
