Play the notes as I talk you through the chart, one note at a time. The basis of many embellishments is simply using 3-note chords. They are also a great benefit to anyone learning how to play backup in a jam session.

The numbering system used in the “Hammer Hands” lessons helps new players find the notes. The most important thing about playing any musical instrument is learning where to play the note indicated in the music, or if playing by ear, where to find a specific pitch on the instrument. The numbering system uses lines above and below the numbers to indicate the LEFT TREBLE BRIDGE, the RIGHT TREBLE BRIDGE, or the BASS BRIDGE.
