Okay...So many exciting things to share today! First of all, thank you DailyCandy for the feature! How fun! So I’m actually a little embarrassed...apparently its an unofficial joy thigpen day at OnceWed today. Well, I’m writing at midnight again. My great grandmother died in her sleep last night. She was a cool lady. She lived to hold her great great granddaughter. Not many people get to do that…but I guess that’s what happens when you have generations of women having babies when they’re young. Her name was Ollie Singleton. Hey hey! Look who’s on the cover of the premiere issue of the awesome new magazine, Southern Weddings! Its Chelsea and Tec with a 4 page spread to boot! Pretty fun. Here’s an update to my previous post... Yesterday, over at The Bride’s Cafe, Janie featured Kathleen’s shoot. Thanks Janie! Well, I’m happy to say, I’ve finally gotten Kathleen’s pictures posted! You can find them under the featured section of my photography site. Kathleen is a little sister who’s grown up into a good friend. She was married to Stephen last December but about two months ago we did a special little shoot. I wanted to take some fun pictures and she was excited to get to wear her dress again. One of the things that makes Kathleen a good friend is that we both have these two extreme sides to us.

So maybe this is a little random but... Yesterday I taught an art lesson to 6 boys on curvy lines. Their mothers asked me to make it fun and memorable so we drew them on their faces! (And put feathers in their hair, of course.) But I really enjoyed learning a little about the Maori people of New Zealand (I love Wikipedia) who inspired our little art project. Well, this is a bit of a “photograph to room” post...especially if you include my title from the previous post. I just thought this image was such a nice transition from the tomatoes! Well, I guess its that time...officially, anyway. I’m not quite ready to say goodbye but the idea of snugly sweaters and crisp air does sound nice. So here is a final tribute to summer.
