Every now and then, I have these moments when I realize that New York is not like other cities. These are two of those stories. Last weekend, I had to go to a work thing at Tweed. Oh ... one more thing: I cut off most of my hair! It was just too hot to turn the blow dryer on anymore. It’s a bit short, but it is about ten degrees cooler and a lot faster in the morning!

At dinner with a friend recently, I ordered a drink called “Kung Fu Fighting.” Not because of the name ... I ordered it because it had ginger in it and I love ginger. But I guess they thought ginger = Asian and Asian = Buddhas, so when the drink arrived it was in a Buddha figurine. Weird.
